| FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
| Photo Restoration |
| |
| How long does it take to restore
a photograph and how much does it cost? |
| |
| The length of time it takes to restore a
photo depends on its condition and original size. Photos with many areas of cracks, discoloration, and affected areas, will require more attention. Original photos that are larger than 8.5" x 11" will also require additional time for professional scanning. An estimate of the time and price to complete the restoration will be provided when the photo is first reviewed. Pricing is typically based on a $45/hr rate plus the cost of scanning. |
| |
| Can I have the restored photograph enlarged? |
| |
| For best results a restored photo should be reprinted to the size of the original because the resolution generally remains unchanged. We can certainly do enlargements but know that the larger the reprint the greater the risk of "fuzzing out." |
